Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the web site of the Western Fairfax Republican Women's Club (WFRWC)!  The WFRWC is a member of the Virginia Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women.  We were established in 1989 and chartered in 1990.  We are located in and represent Republican women in the western part of Fairfax County, in Northern Virginia, and our members are predominantly from the 10th and 11th Congressional Districts.

Our club is made up many dedicated women, and is focused on the following goals:

• Ensuring a Republican wins every election, no matter how "small"
• Reaching out to our community and to all Republicans, and educating them on current and upcoming
   issues
• Networking with other Republican organizations to work for a stronger and more effective Republican
  party, both locally and nationally
• Supporting our troops at home and abroad
• Supporting our youth through scholarships and volunteer opportunities
• Increasing our membership and networking among members

VFRW Club Histories - Celebrating 50 Years

Prior to 1953, we were the Virginia Council of Republican Women.  Purportedly, some clubs began as early as 1938; however, the Council of Republican Women did not have a sufficient number of clubs or members to be part of the National Federation of Republican Women. In 1953, those numbers changed as a result of the efforts of a stalwart group of officers we became chartered by the NFRW (National Federation of Republican Women).

Subsequently we have led the charge in Virginia to maintain a GOP majority, educate women in the political process, increase the number of women who serve in elected office from the Court House to the Halls of Congress, and remain the most positive Republican voice in politics. That membership number has grown immeasurably over the years.

Today, we are the 6th LARGEST Federation in the National Federation of Republican Women. With a strong legacy as our foundation, a productive present, we have a promising future.  To view the club histories, please click here.
